In each Align and Refine class, a philosophical theme is woven throughout the class along with concise alignment instructions, thus empowering students to cultivate strength, flexibility, balance, and freedom in body, mind, and spirit. In a Level 1 class, the basics of the most common standing poses, seated poses, hip openers, and backbends are regularly practiced. Prepatory stages of inversions and arm balances are also presented as are basic breath principles and practice . Suitable for those new to yoga or those who wish to build a solid alignment-based practice from the ground up.
